Colourity Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
Colourity ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Colourity mobile application (the "App"), which provides personal color analysis and wardrobe matching powered by Colourity AI. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using Colourity, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo (if available) through Google Sign-In. We do not support anonymous or guest accounts — an account is required to use core features.
Photos You Provide
- Face scans: When you use the color analysis feature, you take or upload a photo of your face. This photo is processed by Colourity AI to determine your skin undertone and seasonal color palette.
- Garment photos: When you add items to your digital wardrobe, you photograph them. These photos are processed by Colourity AI to identify category, color, pattern, and formality.
Data We Store
We store, tied to your account:
- Your derived color profile (e.g., undertone, seasonal palette result)
- Attributes extracted from your garment photos (category, color, pattern, formality) and the photos themselves
- Outfit combinations and matching results generated for you
- Basic app usage information (e.g., number of scans used, subscription status, if applicable)
Purchase Information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your payment card details — Google handles all payment processing.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Determine your personal color profile
- Build and maintain your digital wardrobe
- Generate outfit matching recommendations from your own wardrobe
- Suggest shopping links from third-party retailers (such as Myntra, Amazon, or Flipkart) when no matching item exists in your wardrobe
- Maintain your account and scan/usage balance
- Improve the accuracy and reliability of the app
We do not use your photos or personal data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
Colourity relies on the following third-party services to function:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Storage) — used to securely store your account data, color profile, and wardrobe images.
- Colourity AI — used to analyze face and garment photos you submit. Photos are processed to extract the specific attributes described above.
- Google Play Billing — used to process subscription payments, if applicable.
- Third-party retailers (Myntra, Amazon, Flipkart, and similar) — when we suggest a "Shop the Gap" item, you are directed to that retailer's own website or app. We do not share your personal data with these retailers; we simply provide a link based on your color profile and matching preferences.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on their platforms.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure. We enforce strict per-user access rules so that only you can access your own profile, wardrobe, and scan data — no other user or unauthorized party can view it. Data is transmitted using encrypted connections.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data (color profile, wardrobe photos, garment data, and scan history) at any time by contacting us at the email below. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe.
6. Children's Privacy
Colourity is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
